Applications were invited by Jawaharlal Nehru University for Combined Biotechnology Entrance Exam for providing admissions in MSc, MvSc and M Tech courses in Biotechnology in different universities in India.
M.Sc in Biotechnology
Eligiblity: 3 Years degree in Agriculture or physical or vetenary or engineering or pharmacy or fishery etc or MBBS or BDS with 55% Marks (visit the website to know all the elgiblity criteria)
Admissions can be obtained in any one of the 32 universities in India under this entrance exam.
Candidate have to complete their degree in 2010 or 2011 or 2012. Those who passed before 2010 cannot apply.
Msc in Agriculture or MVSc in Biotechnology
Eligibility: 3 Year Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture or Vetenary Science. Different university requires demand different eligility. for details please visit JNU website. 55% Marks sould be there in the Degree.
Admissions can be done in any one of the 12 Agricultural universities in India.
Candidate have to complete their degree in 2010 or 2011 or 2012. Those who passed before 2010 cannot apply.
M.Tech in Biotechnology
Eligiblity: Score 60% marks in any one of the Engineering Degree (BE or BTech) Chemical, Bio-Chemical, Indiustrial Biotechnology, Biotechnology, leather technology, B Pharm, MSc in Biotchnology. Different university demand different eligibility please refer the JNU website before applying.
Admissions in any one of the 3 universities in India
Candidate have to complete their degree in 2010 or 2011 or 2012. Those who passed before 2010 cannot apply.
Fees: Different universities charge different fees for the course. Candidate are also eligible for scholarships from department of biotechnology.
Application Procedure:
Candidates can apply online or offline.
How to Apply Online:
Visit www.jnu.ac.in or www.jnuonline.in and Apply online by providing the necessary details and do the payment by depositing in SBI, or taking DD or online payment using Debit or Credit card. Last date for applying online is 21st March 2012.
How to Apply Offline:
Take a crossed Bank Draft of Rs 260 in favor of Jawaharlal Nehru University payable at New Delhi and send the Bank draft along with a self addressed envelop (size 30*25 cms) Please clearly mentin the course name in the envelop for requesting the prospectus and application form and send the Bank draft and envelop to Section Officer (Admissions), Room Number 28, Administrative Block, JNU, New Delhi, PIN: 110067
Important Dates to remember:
- Last date for Applying Online: 21st March 2012
- Last date for issue of Offline Application Form through Post: 5th March 2012
- Last date for submission of completed offline form: 21st March 2012
- Last date for submission of confirmation page of online application form: 28th March 2012
- Examination Date: 25th May 2012 (Thursday)
If the candidate is applying for more than one course he have to apply for each course because the prospectus and application form is different.
Send your application form or request for application form only through Post and No courier is accepted. Application form cannot be purchased from anywhere.
