Now Passengers who are flying from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport have to Pay an user Fee (International user Developement Fee).
The Government plans to charge Rs 775 but later it is reduced to Rs 575 for International Passengers who are flying from Thiruvananthapuram airport.

There is no charge for passengers who are arriving at Thiruvananthapuram Airport and for Transit Passengers if the Passengers connection flight is within 6 hours.
Previously there were User Fee in Karipur and Nedumbassery Airport but because of huge protests it was later withdrawn.
Bangalore airport Charges a user fee of Rs 1,070 and the Hyderabad airport charges an user fee of Rs.1,000 from passengers. But There is no User fee at kozhikode and Cochin.
NRIs of Thiruvananthapuram are waiting for a Positive response from the higher officials regarding the withdrawal of user fees as it is a big burden on them.
User fee will be collected from all the International passengers for 10 years as per the instruction.
