Salik is the electronic toll collection system in Dubai United Arab Emirates (UAE) which was launched in July 2007. Using Salik the toll will be collected by deducting the amount from your prepaid toll account using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology when the vehicle travelling through the Salik Gates.
A Salik Tag will be provided to the Vehicles which should be affixed in the Wind shield of the Vehicle. Before installing the tag Read the Instructions carefully and do according to the instructions.
AED 4 will be deducted from your Prepaid toll account each and every time you pass through the tolling gate. You have to Recharge your Salik in order to pay the Salik.
Customer have to Buy the Salik Welcome Kit from Emarat Petrol Stations, ENOC Petrol Stations, ADNOC Petrol Stations, Dubai Islamic Bank or Emirates Bank. Then Affix the Salik Tag in your Vehicle. If you have multiple vehicles you can have multiple tags in your account.
You have to Recharge Your Salik as and when the balance reduces. You have to maintain a sufficient balance in your Salik Account and if there is no balance and you had passed through a Salik Gate you will be charged AED 50 for the Violation.

How to top up your Salik Online
- Log on to http://www.salik.gov.ae/
- If you are a New User Click on Online Registration and Create Your Salik Account.
- Enter the Amount to Recharge
You can also Recharge Your Salik Account through SMS by sending an sms to 5959 with the Message R Recharge Card Number Salik Account Number Salik Pin Code. You will get a confirmation messgae about the Recharge and the New Balance in your Account.
You can also Recharge your Account by Calling 800-SALIK(72545) or through mPay.
